L'acqua del fiume Bestina, oltre ad essere stata il "motore" che per secoli ha fatto "girare" l'economia locale, è stata anche una risorsa preziosa per uomini ed animali. Infatti, attraverso gorelli superficiali e condotte sotterranee ormai dimenticate ha rifornito di acqua potabile le fontane e le fonti pubbliche.
