STRUCTURE DESCRIPTION
Laticastelli was originally a castle, built in the XIII century, which was destroyed and then rebuilt as a farm. With the passing of time, it turned into a small village, rebuilt as a country Relais, which still keeps its original charm and personality. Laticastelli is a quiet and secluded place. On the top of a hill, with a row of centuries-old cypresses, it offers a splendid view over the surrounding country. The main road of the village leads to a park, rich in citrons and flowers. At the end of the valley, near the river Ombrone which bounds the 50 hectares’ land, there is a polo-court; from there on, there are olive trees vineyards and cultivated lands. The woods, with their numerous paths, make it a perfect destination for riding a horse, going for a walk or simply relax. The ancient caves of Laticastelli have turned into the TAVERN: restaurant and tavern. Both in the rooms and the terraces, you could taste an excellent selection of sliced cold meat, toasted bread, horses d’oeuvre, for a very good home- made meal, made up of Tuscan dishes and wines of the highest quality. TAVERN AND RESTAURANT: You could also taste the excellent quality of the private collection’s wine, which has been especially selected for the lovers of relish and its flavours, bouquet and quality which contributes to savour even more the renowned Tuscan cooking.
