The church of the Saints Giacomo and Cristoforo is a sacred building in Cuna. It is situated at the entrance of the fortified grancia of Cuna, which belongs to the Hospital of Santa Maria della Scala. The dedication to Saint Giacomo would confirm the presence of an hospital annexed to the church. In 1314 the church was completely rebuilt . the building, completely in cotto, has only one nave without an ending “scarsella” surrounded on the outside by a frame which leans on small corbels. The room is enlightened by the eye of the front and two windows of gothic proportions, even if the arch is still round as in the Romanesque style The inside keeps the rests of fourteenth-century frescoes, among which there is also a Virgin Mary with Christ Child and the Saints, a “Presentation at the temple” and an Adoration of the Magi.
