This little museum, created from the beautiful “Sala Capitolare” of the Abbey, holds few works of art into the abbey itself and in the parishes of the surrounding landscapes. Mainly created to avoid the disappearance or the deterioration of not garrisoned works, it has become an obligatory stage for the lovers of art who want to visit the territory of the Crete Senesi. The visit is justified by the opportunity of admiring the frescos in the rooms but some works are of a really great artistic value. The museum has been created to continue using periodically the room as a seat of the “Capitolo” of the Olivetan monks.
