The Choral Association "Jacob Arcadelt" Chiusi was established
January 9, 1994 at the initiative of thirty people, passionate
about music and choral singing. Following the path already traced
in part from past Artistic Music Association Choral Luca Marenzio
of Chiusi, the new group is main aim of the promotion,
dissemination and implementation of choral singing. The choir was
among the protagonists of three editions of the "Cantiere
Internazionale d'Arte" of Montepulciano, participating in the first
representation of the absolute musical drama by Alessandro Sbordoni
Fabula, the world premiere of Heinrich Isaac's Lament developed by
Detlev Glanert. In collaboration with The Royal Northern College of
Music Symphony Orchestra conducted by Markus Stenz Maestro, has
participated in the execution of Donizetti's Requiem, Choral
Fantasy with the op. 80 and Beethoven's Mass in G Major D.167
Schubert.
The group also participated in dozens of national and international exhibitions and organizes its own festival every year which are polyphonic invited groups from neighboring regions.
Affiliated Choirs Association of Tuscany, the 'Choral Association "Jacob Arcadelt" began a fruitful collaboration with other trade groups and foreign national and has been invited to participate in numerous events.
The choir's repertoire consists mainly in the Renaissance repertoire and protobarocco, with a growing interest in the history of the twentieth century and contemporary.
The chorus is odd voices and currently has about 20 items.
